Hi all,

Melbourne is getting close now... just wondered what time everyone's flights are getting in. I booked a fairly early flight from Sydney on Friday - I reach Melbourne at 9.45. (Flying Virgin).

At the moment I'm planning on booking into the Crowne Plaza then catching a cab to the centre of the city to do a bit of shopping (Friday arvo is the only time free; I fly out Monday at 11.15) ... will probably get back to the hotel around 3-4 pm.

Any plans so far for meeting up for dinner/drinks/ etc?

Nothing in concrete yet except to say that - absolutely we will all catch up on the Friday afternoon and even into Friday night too...

I'm a local so I'll just rock along when the majority decides a rondevous time...

I'm arriving from Brisbane in the morning on Friday, spending the day with some friends I have in Melbourne, then checking into the Crowne Plaza in the late afternoon.
I leave Monday at 6am to get back in Brisbane an hour later (I love daylight savings), to get to work on time. And that's the only conrete plans I have for the whole weekend (aside from the conference itself).
Although I do plan on making friends with the lobby bar of the hotel over the weekend (probably the best meeting point for us all anyway).

Sounds like the lobby bar, late afternoon, will be a good place to meet.

Simon and I get into Melbourne around 4pm.. We will drop our stuff off at Simon's sisters and can be in town around 6.00 - 7.00pm ready to rock and roll, where ever - Crowne Plaza hotel lobby bar? And then on for dinner?

We leave on Sunday night - 2 nights away from the little darlings is enough (especially for the sitters ) And we will have dinner with Simon's family before we leave on Sunday night....

Cool, sounds like the Crowne Bar will be the meeting point - (let's hope they have a bar...lol)..

Sounds like I'll rock up around 5ish - 6ish and hook up with everybody in the bar - then we can decide where to move onto for dinner.
