Melb Conference - washup 2 Years, 1 Month ago
Hi all,

It was fantastic to meet sooo many people - face to face .

Simon and I had a super time at the underachiever conference in Melb this weekend.. We picked up a few very valuable nuggets from the stage, BUT meeting all you guys and spending some time with you was the BEST part of the weekend for us..

Simon and I haven't stopped talking about - the look on Nez's face when he got his much coveted camera, the awesome way Bambi stood up to the 'hot seat' challenge and last but not least Glenns fantastic description of his product, which in turn created loads of interest!! We are sooooo pleased for you Glenn - it really is awesome.. (Simon says - the laws of attraction rock!!)

I'd love to hear everyone elses experiences of the weekend

Oh and welcome to all our new forum buddies!! Great to have you here...

Gota go catch up on 300 loads of washing and cook up a storm.. I'll be back later today.

Cheers
Michelle

Hi Guys,

Best thing for me over the weekend was definately making lots of new friends and putting faces to names

Was actually a little disappointed about the content of the seminar in the end. There were definately some gems but overall I felt it lacked a bit.

As usual I got considerably more from talking one on one with attendees and am very happy to have found out about this little gem of a forum!

I myself had a fantastic time. I enjoyed getting to finally meet people face to face (even though I felt I was the height of a hobbit). The content was pretty good, and I took away quite a few things that I'll start implementing this week. Some of it was hit and miss, but that was only due to the fact that some was was covered that I already know pretty well, so it was less interesting for me. I'd say that was the case for most people there.
All things considered though, I had a fantastic weekend. And Joanne, I know you wont want to hear this, but I got my camera, and it's very damn cool.
Cheers,
Nez

Well….second attempt, my first long winded reply went south!!!!! Bloody hell!!!

So..Day One – a disappointment, no content, at least for an Ultra.

Day Two – Hot Seats were gold. For Undies they got an insight into Ultras. For Novices they were left thinking “what the”???

The highlight had to be the socializing. You can’t go past the quality of talking with other like minded people who are willing to share their knowledge and insight into IM.

Dinner with Jason on Sunday night was “thsuper awesome” (said with gay overtones). Listening to him share details of his upcoming conference and then the brainstorming on his pricing point was pure gold! Kudos to you Nez!

I’ll be rendering and uploading the video of the hot seats today and I’ll let you know when it’s ready.

Damn, my first post was so much better….lol..

Bambi

PS Pictures are up in the gallery now. The quality sucks though, I really should have brought my decent camera along too!

Post edited by: Bambi, at: 2006/12/04 10:27

Hi everyone,
It was great meeting you all. Socializing is always best part of the even.

Lot of information we already heard, but it gave me the opportunity to go to the next level. I feel sory for those that even did not hear what auto responder is. They probably felt like drinking from fire hose.

I was pleasantly supprised with Frank's gentle and warm energy in one on one chat. He impresed me even more this time and how fenomenal he is in copywriting. He operates more from intuitive level. John is great but operates mainly from knowlage level. Frank is my man from the conference even with all his slackness.

To sum up, I am glad that I went, and particulary that my huby came with me. He usualy does not do it.

Regards to all of you
Jas

If you would like to watch me in the "Hot Seat" at the Melbourne conference then you will need to become a "friend" in my YouTube account "bambirulz".

Once I get that notification I'll qualify you as a friend and then you can view the videos. I have made them private so that the whole world doesn't know about my niche.

Here are the links for the three videos of my Hot Seat

Hey everyone,

It was great to meet lots of people in Melbourne!

In terms of information, the hot seats had to be the most informative.

I will admit for ultras, I thought the information was a bit basic/repetitive but I guess the conference was originally from the 30 day challenge so can't really complain.

I had a rather fun time on Sunday night hanging out with Frank and John (my god they can drink a lot!), and it definately gave me a huge kick in the pants to be more productive!

Hope everyone got something out of it

Casey

I'm sooooo jealous! How did you get to hang with Frank and John on Sunday night?

Who else was there and what were some of the nuggets you came away with?

Nuggets?

You won't like my answer im afraid

I learnt lots, however it wasn't exactly 'nuggets'

-I now know the meaning of 'bookaki' (and I won't repeat it here!)

-I learnt that playing the pokies really IS a waste of time and money (had already thought that was the case but now I know for sure)

-I learnt that I can stay out longer then John and Frank, could be because Im younger? Or maybe it was the alcohol VS orange juice.

Sorry Bambi, there really wasn't any 'gold nuggets' to be had

Yeah, best not to explain the meaning of that one here!
I had a great Sunday night myself. Hung out with quite a few people (including Bambi, Marg and Glenn from our little forum here), and ended my night around midnight still talking to J-Mo and his girlfriend. Was a pretty good night all round. He's a smart cookie that one. I could have kept talking all night, but the 4am wake up time to catch my flight kind of scared me into bed.

Cheers,
Nez
