Fixing Dodgy Videos 11 Months, 1 Week ago
I have a number of flv videos that play 'funny'.

They play fine for a few minutes but then they go all 'static-y', like what happens when you watch a video in your browser and it needs to load.

But if they're on my hard drive do I need to let them load?

Or does someone know of a piece of software that can fix or clean these files?

Ta muchly!

Well, if the originals themselves are choppy or damaged, there's not a lot you can do.

Having said that, it's possible that the fault is with the software you're using to watch the flv's.

For everyday conversion needs, I'm using a program called Alive MP4 Converter, it does a pretty snappy job.
Even with FLV's.

Here's another cool tool, free and online: http://www.converttube.com/

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that jtunkelo,

I ended up trying a player called GOM player which can be downloaded here: http://www.gomplayer.com/download.html

It works like a champ!
Bambi and Bill if you read this, I recommend getting it to watch those videos
