Unmountable Boot Volume error 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago  
Hey everyone,

So my computer decided to die today...

At least I think it's dead. I turned it one this morning and got a blue box on a black screen with the error:
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

From the little I have been able to gather from borrowing a laptop and googling it is that 1. I am going to need to reinstall XP or 2. My computer is dead

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Gosh that does sound dire.

Touch wood, I can say I haven't experienced that.

I hope you can get it resolved - I hate it when my computer is playing up!!

note to self: look into the online backup sites again!!

Just thought I'd update- this error means that your hard drive died!!

Nothing could be saved, but at least I have a working computer again!
