Something has happened to me today that was a little disturbing.

I'm a huge gadget geek. I just love new toys and always want the latest thing. I also find that now I'm working as a web designer and online marketer full time, I spend a LOT of my days sitting in front of my computers. Combine those 2 elements and you can see where the Boo Radley reference comes into play. Unless of course you don't read you heathen!

My disturbing experience came in the form of my latest gadget. You see, I'm heading off to Beechworth at the end of April to hang out Mr Ed Dale and Mr Dan Raine. You may have heard of them. The conference they're throwing should be brilliant and I feel like a very lucky boy to be able to attend.

With Beechworth being around 3 hours drive out of Melbourne I figured a hire car was the way to go. Being the nerd I am I've gone with a Prius so I can play around with it and see how cool the whole hybrid thing is. I'm looking at buying one so it seemed a perfect opportunity for a test drive.

I haven't driven in Melbourne for years, and have no idea how to get to Beechworth. The perfect opportunity for me to buy a GPS unit!

It arrived today and here's where my dilema kicked in. I took it out of the box and immediately wanted to play with it. But guess what? It couldn't find the satellites from inside the house. I HAD TO GO OUTSIDE!

What disturbed me was how much that bothered me as it took me away from the computers. I think I need help. ;)
